I am an artist, teacher and art advocate and he has taught art for more than 30 years at the university, college and high school levels. I earned an MFA in printmaking from the University of Arizona and a BFA in Drawing from Brigham Young University. I am an Art21 Fellow, a four time NEA Appointed Panelist for the Learning in the Visual Arts, and has participated in Teacher’s Institute for Contemporary of Art (SAIC).
I am a passionate advocate of art, and art education that balances theory, research and practice. I currently serve on the board of Directors for Utah Art Festival, Fulbright Alumni Board-Utah, Southern Utah University Art Administration, and the Statewide Art partnership.
In my “free” time I enjoy mountain biking and is on an elite race team where he participates in ultra endurance competitive races.
